Why choose Southern Eye ↗
Everyone was very friendly and helpful at Southern Eye Associates. Procedure was quick and painless and hopeful when my healing process is done it will show pressure is back to normal in my eye. I am very pleased my eye doctor referred me to this facility!
Every patient and every eye is different. A thorough eye exam is the best way to understand your options.
View all questions →Candidates must be 18 or older, have had little to no prescription change within one to two years, be in good general and eye health, and have realistic expectations. An eye exam is the best way to know.
There is almost no pain involved with LASIK, though some patients find it slightly uncomfortable. Anesthetic drops numb the eye just before surgery.
The LASIK procedure usually takes less than 15 minutes in the operating room. The actual laser treatment time is only seconds.
Vision is blurry immediately after surgery. Most patients see quite well the following day and may resume most normal activities after their one-day post-operative visit.
